From the Church of the Nativity to Swedish Helsingborg: A Solidarity Gathering in Support of the Palestinian People
SadaNews - A group of Friends of Palestine held a solidarity gathering today, Friday, in the center of Helsingborg, expressing their solidarity with the Palestinian people. They called for an end to the war, to settlement activities, and to the massacres being committed in the Palestinian territories.
The participants in the gathering asserted that the Christmas tree raised during the event served as a message of humanitarian peace originating from the Church of the Nativity in Palestine to the streets of Helsingborg, symbolically expressing solidarity with the Palestinian people and their right to obtain their legitimate rights, while rejecting the Israeli war machine and the ongoing genocide.
The Friends of Palestine group emphasized that true peace cannot be achieved without justice and the end of occupation. They called on the international community to assume its legal and humanitarian responsibilities and to work diligently to protect civilians and put an end to the ongoing violations against the Palestinian people.
