Palestine Bank Participates in the Green Solutions Exhibition and Presents Its Sustainability Initiatives

SadaNews - The Ministry of National Economy organized the Green Solutions Exhibition in the town of Sirda, with wide participation from Palestinian institutions and companies, where Palestine Bank had a prominent and noticeable presence. During the exhibition, the bank showcased its efforts in rationalizing electricity consumption and enhancing sustainability practices within its facilities.

Minister of National Economy, Eng. Mohammed Amour, stated in his talk with "Sada News": "Despite all the suffering faced by the Palestinian people, they still find space to be part of the global transition towards a green economy."

He added: "We organize this exhibition in cooperation with the European Union and the German Union, and we are proud of this exhibition and what it will offer to the Palestinian economy in terms of green solutions at all levels."

For his part, Rabi Dweikat, Head of the Communication and Public Relations Department at Palestine Bank, explained that the bank adopts practices and policies aimed at reducing electricity consumption and lowering the carbon output in the air, in addition to recycling damaged devices.

Dweikat added: "We also adopt development projects with the community concerning increasing green spaces and preserving the environment," noting: "Our participation today in this exhibition comes to solidify this role."

More than 40 Palestinian companies specializing in clean technology participated, showcasing their latest innovations in renewable energy to visitors and interested parties. Panel discussions were also held to discuss ways to advance the green economy as a real lever for Palestinian economic growth, with the participation of officials, experts, and representatives from the public and private sectors.

James Rizzo, Deputy Head of the European Union Delegation to Palestine, told Sada News: "As the European Union, the green economy is one of our key political priorities, evident in our cooperation with Palestinian ministries that follow the same approach. Our cooperation and support here aim to align European priorities regarding the green economy with a sustainable future for the Palestinian economy. Working towards a green economy and a green future for Palestine is a strategic priority for the European Union, and this is the essence of what we are doing today and in our other programs, and we will continue to do so in the future."
