SadaNews - A young man from Lod was killed last night in a traffic accident that occurred between Qalqilya and Jaljuliya, near Highway 6, when a motorcycle collided with a vehicle.

Local sources reported that the victim of the traffic accident was Saqr Musa Al-Turi (Abu Sharqi), who was riding a motorcycle just before the incident occurred.

A medical team that arrived at the scene of the accident mentioned that they received a report "at 16:56 in the ‘Yirkon’ area, indicating that a motorcycle driver was hit by a vehicle on the highway 55, on the bridge over Highway 6".

They added that their members "provided first aid and transported a 25-year-old young man to ‘Meir’ Hospital in critical condition, suffering from multiple injuries all over his body, while resuscitation efforts were still ongoing," but his death was later confirmed after attempts to keep him alive failed.
