Murder of Mahmoud Khatib from Majd al-Krum in the Occupied Interior

SadaNews - Young man Mahmoud Samir Khatib (41 years old) from the town of Majd al-Krum in the Sha'ghur area was killed due to a stabbing incident in the town of Kafr Yasif on Saturday night - Sunday, raising the death toll in the Arab community since the beginning of the year to 177, including 11 in the past week.

According to available information, the victim, who was a singer, was attacked during a private event in Kafr Yasif.

The "Hayyan" medical center reported that they received a notification about a man injured in the plateau area of Kafr Yasif, and upon the arrival of their intensive care team, they found the injured man from the village of Majd al-Krum with a very critical upper body stab wound. The medical team began advanced resuscitation procedures, but after attempts at resuscitation, his death was pronounced.

Israeli police reported that they received a notification about a man found with stab wounds in an open area in Kafr Yasif, and he was declared dead by medical teams.

The police have opened an investigation into the circumstances of the crime and are gathering evidence from the scene, without reporting any arrests of suspects.

11 Killed in the Past Week

Violent crimes continue to claim lives in the Arab community at an alarming rate, with 11 Arab citizens killed in the past week.

The 11 victims are: Mu'tasim Nasirat from Taybeh, Muhammad Nator from Abu Sinan, Raed Sakhi from Jaffa, Yazan Qadri from Nahf, Hasaneen Abu Sa'louk from Lod, Khaled Asila from Ara'a, Jiji Al-Hazil from Rahat, Ala' Sharuf from Isfiya, Mahmoud Jarban and Imad Amash from Jisr al-Zarka, and Mahmoud Khatib from Majd al-Krum.

Prior to these crimes, Fursan Abu Raad Mahajna (70 years old) was killed in a shooting incident in the city of Umm al-Fahm on Saturday, August 30.

177 Killed in the Arab Community Since the Beginning of the Year

Thus, the death toll of murder victims in the Arab community since the beginning of this year rises to 177, including 175 Arab citizens and residents, among them 18 women.

Data indicates that 150 of the victims were killed by gunfire, with 88 of them under the age of thirty, including three who were killed before reaching the age of 18. There were also 9 recorded cases of killings by police.

These shocking numbers come amid a worsening of murders and acts of violence, with increasing accusations against the police of failing to fulfill their duty to curb crime and hold criminals accountable.
