Ongoing Attacks on Bedouin Gatherings by Settlers

SadaNews - Settlers attacked this morning, Tuesday, stealing and looting a number of sheep belonging to Palestinian farmers in the town of Kafr Malik, east of Ramallah.

The general supervisor of the Baider Organization for the Defense of Bedouin Rights, Hassan Malihat, reported in a press briefing that the settlers infiltrated the citizens' lands this morning, assaulted a Palestinian shepherd, and stole dozens of sheep from a pasture located in the eastern part of the town before withdrawing toward a nearby settlement outpost.

Malihat confirmed that this attack is not an isolated incident, but rather part of a systematic series of assaults carried out by settler groups aimed at tightening the grip on Palestinian farmers and shepherds, forcing them to leave their lands.

In the same context, a group of settlers erected a settlement tent on top of Mount al-Hadib, located north of the city of Hebron, in a move described by the organization as "an attempt to impose a new reality and establish a settlement outpost in the area."

The settlers arrived at the site under the protection of occupation soldiers and set up a large tent at dawn, amid fears that it would turn into a permanent base to control wider expanses of surrounding agricultural land, according to Malihat's report.

Malihat emphasized that this step is part of a systematic expansionist policy targeting the Judaization of the high mountainous areas in the West Bank, especially those overlooking Palestinian Bedouin and rural gatherings, as the settlers arrived at the site under the protection of occupation soldiers and set up a large tent in the early hours of dawn, amidst fears that it would transform into a permanent stronghold in preparation for controlling larger areas of surrounding agricultural land.

Additionally, settlers released their cattle to graze among the homes of Palestinian Bedouin citizens east of the town of Taybeh, north of Ramallah, in a provocative act that violates the privacy of the residents and causes damage to their lands and properties.

As a result, the cows that wandered among the homes caused severe damage to agricultural lands and personal property, with a clear absence of intervention from the occupation authorities to prevent this encroachment.
