Palestinian Capital Market Authority Delegation Concludes Visit to Jordan to Learn About Electronic Accident Report System
SadaNews - The delegation of the Capital Market Authority concluded its visit to Jordan aimed at learning about the Jordanian experience in the insurance sector, especially regarding the "E-Kroka" electronic system. The delegation, led by the Director General of the Authority, Barak Al-Nabulsi, included team members from the authority alongside representatives from the Palestinian Police Traffic Department, the Palestinian Insurance Companies Union. Participating in the visit were Amjad Qabha, General Director of Insurance Oversight; Nihad As'ad, Board Member of the Palestinian Insurance Companies Union and General Director of Al-Mashreq Insurance Company; Ayman Al-Sabah, Board Member and Secretary of the Palestinian Union Board and General Director of the Al-Ahla Insurance Group; and Brigadier General Mansour Daraghmeh, Director of the Traffic Department, along with Mahmoud Sharqieh, Director of Financial and Administrative Affairs at the authority, as well as Amjad Abdul Haq, Inspector of Traffic Accidents, and Kaid Ma'ari, Secretary General of the Palestinian Insurance Companies Union.

The visit included a series of important meetings, including with the Central Bank of Jordan and the Jordanian Insurance Companies Union, attended by Engineer Majid Smirat, Chairman of the Union, Rida Dhabour, Board Member of the Union, Dr. Muayad Kalloub, CEO, along with the executive management of the union and representatives from the Public Security Directorate.

On the sidelines of this visit, a broad working meeting was held between representatives of the Jordanian and Palestinian markets where Jordanian market representatives introduced the role of the Jordanian Insurance Companies Union, the services it provides to its member insurance companies, as well as the most prominent strategic projects that have contributed to a qualitative shift in the insurance sector in the Kingdom, such as the electronic issuance system, the E-Kroka system, along with projects for electronic linking and data exchange with official entities that the union has adopted, including the Drivers and Vehicles Licensing Department, the Ministry of Health, and the Jordanian Customs Department, to serve insurance companies, saving time and effort, and enhancing performance efficiency.
Additionally, the experience of the Jordanian Union in specialized insurance training was discussed, the evolution of training projects over the past years, provision of free training for insurance companies, alongside the successful experiences of the union in organizing insurance conferences and specialized seminars to raise professional knowledge and exchange expertise in the sector. Furthermore, preparations were completed for hosting the 35th General Conference of the Arab Insurance Union (GAIF35), which will be hosted by the Jordanian insurance market from October 4 to 7, 2026, in the Dead Sea area.
The delegation was also extensively briefed on the Jordanian experience in electronically issuing traffic accident reports through the E-Kroka system, which was the focus of the visit. The stages of project development and implementation in cooperation with the Public Security Directorate, as well as the main results achieved, whether in terms of expediting the compensation processes, improving the accuracy of calculating compensations and technical provisions, or providing a comprehensive database used in underwriting, compensation, market analysis, and studying the traffic reality in the Kingdom.
The Palestinian delegation appreciated the collaboration they observed from the representatives of the Jordanian Insurance Companies Union, the Central Bank of Jordan, and the Public Security Directorate, expressing pride in the Jordanian accomplishments achieved by the Jordanian insurance market through the projects it has completed for the sector, as well as in developing the insurance sector.
At the end of the visit, the Palestinian delegation members presented commemorative gifts to the Jordanian partner entities, reflecting Palestinian heritage and culture, as an expression of their gratitude and appreciation for the efforts made to ensure the success of this visit and for sharing Jordan's experiences with the Palestinian delegation.
