An Arab World on the Verge of Vanishing
Despite all that is said about the failure of the American-Israeli alliance to achieve its complete strategic goals in the Arab world, there are some accomplishments attributed to this alliance, whether through military force or through open or covert conspiracies. Among the most important achievements are:
First: Progress in the plan to divide and Balkanize the Arab world; where Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Sudan, Somalia, Palestinian territories, and Libya are divided, while Lebanon is semi-divided, representing about a third of the Arab countries.
Second: In terms of normalization and relations with Washington, there are 5 countries that have normalized relations with Israel: Egypt, Jordan, the UAE, Bahrain, and Morocco, along with 3 countries on the path to normalization or "semi-normalized": Sudan, Oman, and Qatar; in addition to the presence of American forces and military bases and strategic security agreements with the majority of Arab countries. All Arab countries have shifted their relations with Israel from a state of conflict to a state of normalization or coexistence.
Third: Dominance over the region's wealth, particularly gas and oil, and near control over the strategic maritime corridors in the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea: Bab el-Mandeb, the Strait of Hormuz, and the Suez Canal.
Fourth: The absence of any progressive and liberation political systems or movements in the Arab world that can be relied upon to confront American influence and the hegemony of neighboring countries - with the exception of Hezbollah in Lebanon.
All of this raises alarms that what was hoped to be an Arab world or a pan-Arab project is in a state of vanishing and may become just an illusion if things remain as they are.
