Don't Blame the Palestinian People for the Failures of Your Regimes and Ideologies

We sometimes hear from some brothers in the Arab and even Islamic countries statements and comments from politicians, intellectuals, and activists on social media, claiming that the Palestinian cause has drained efforts and funds and that it is time to liberate themselves from this burden, allowing each state to focus on its internal affairs, and that the Palestinians deserve to reap the consequences of their wrong behaviors and bets!
We do not deny the contributions of Arab countries and other nations to the Palestinian people, nor do we deny the presence of mistakes and transgressions by Palestinians, whether during the presence of the Palestinian revolution center in Jordan followed by Lebanon and then Tunisia, or after the establishment of the authority in the interior, or due to Hamas and its external affiliations; however, it is an exaggeration and a deviation from the truth to say that Palestinians have interfered in the internal affairs of Arab countries or that the Palestinian cause is the reason behind the crises faced by Arab countries, whether economically or politically, rather the opposite is true.

Some Arab and Islamic regimes, parties, and political movements intervened in our internal affairs from the 1936 revolution to the Nakba of 1948; where the intervention of Arab armies at the behest of Britain was the cause of our catastrophe. After the Nakba, they raised slogans and adopted nationalist, internationalist, and revolutionary ideologies, claiming that Israel posed an existential threat to the Arab nation and must be fought, and the Palestinians joined in and fought in their wars believing their slogans because they lived with them and were under their sovereignty.

The Arabs are the ones who established these ideologies; from "Nasserism" in Egypt to the "Ba'ath Party" founded by Syrians and Iraqis like Michel Aflaq and Al-Bitar, except for the "Arab Nationalists Movement" founded by the Palestinian George Habash, and the same applies to socialist and communist parties.
Under these grand titles and the motto of "the nationalism of the cause", governments and regimes intervened in every detail of our lives, forming some armed organizations loyal to them and incorporated them as members of the Palestinian Liberation Organization.

In 1967, the defeat of the armies of Egypt, Syria, and Jordan against the Zionist aggression resulted in the loss of the rest of Palestine. After the setback of the 67 war and the decline of nationalist and internationalist ideologies (such as communism and socialism), especially after the death of Gamal Abdel Nasser, not due to the error of the idea and principle but because of the conspiracy of enemies - the West and global Zionism and Israel - and dysfunction in application, Islamic political groups and the fundamentalist wave, and Islamist ideology rose, practicing what "nationalists" did regarding interference in Palestinian affairs in the name of Jerusalem and the holy sites, but they exceeded them; where these movements treated Palestinians as if they had only come to know Islam with the emergence of these groups, especially Hamas, while antagonizing the PLO and weakening it.

The Palestinians had no role in founding these groups; the Muslim Brotherhood was founded in Egypt by Hassan al-Banna, Al-Qaeda was founded by bin Laden, and ISIS was founded by al-Baghdadi, and in most cases, external powers played a role in their establishment. These groups divided the people between Islamic and secular national forces, with Hamas being loyal to the Muslim Brotherhood (which is non-Palestinian) and Islamic Jihad being affiliated with Iran, and we have seen the result of these two movements' affiliation with the Iranian axis and what is called "the unification of the arenas".

All of the above confirms that Arab and Islamic parties are the ones that imposed themselves on the Palestinian cause to serve their ideologies without the request of the Palestinian people, and the result of their interventions has been the loss of all of Palestine, and the threats the cause faces now of liquidation, and what some Arab countries are suffering from in terms of economic crises, poverty, hunger, and political and sectarian conflicts, and the violation of their lands by neighboring countries and American bases has nothing to do with the Palestinian cause.
