Death of the President of the Palestinian Community in Brazil

SadaNews - The President of the Palestinian community in Brazil and the head of the Palestinian Arab Association in the Amazon, Mamoun Youssef Abdul Hamid Mawas (Mnasra), passed away due to a severe heart attack, sparking a sense of sorrow among members of the Palestinian community in exile.

The deceased was a prominent national figure, dedicating his efforts to serve the Palestinian people in Brazil, contributing to the enhancement of the Palestinian cause, and building effective relationships with various components of Brazilian society.

He was also known for his role in strengthening Palestinian-Brazilian relations, having met with Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.

Moreover, Munther Marai, a member of both the Palestinian National Council and the Central Council, mourned the deceased, praising his national journey and his role in serving the Palestinian community, affirming that his passing represents a significant loss for Palestine and its people in exile.

Marai extended his heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased and to his relatives, as well as to the members of the Palestinian community in Brazil, praying that God may envelop him in His vast mercy and grant them patience and solace.
