Abdel Aati Receives Maladinov to Discuss Developments in Gaza
SadaNews - Dr. Badr Abdel Aati, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and Egyptians Abroad, received Mr. Nikolai Maladinov, the UN Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process, today, Wednesday, as part of ongoing consultations regarding developments in the Gaza Strip and enhancing security and stability in the region.
The spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry, Ambassador Tamim Khalaf, stated that Minister Abdel Aati emphasized the necessity of completing the implementation of the remaining obligations of the first phase of the U.S. President's plan, including the immediate commencement of the National Committee for Gaza's management from within the Strip at the earliest opportunity, deploying international stability forces, and facilitating humanitarian, medical, and relief aid, which would contribute to consolidating the ceasefire, enhancing security, and providing a suitable environment for the initiation of early recovery efforts and reconstruction.
For his part, Maladinov expressed his deep appreciation for Egypt's pivotal role in supporting stability efforts in the Gaza Strip, commending Egypt's continuous efforts to bring different parties closer together and advance initiatives aimed at improving humanitarian conditions and enhancing opportunities for achieving peace and stability in the region.
