Finance Minister Announces Launch of the Trial Phase of the "Yabus" App to Support Employees
SadaNews - On Wednesday, Finance and Planning Minister, Dr. Stefan Salameh, announced the launch of the "Yabus" app aimed at enhancing the resilience of public sector employees and enabling them to meet their obligations towards essential service providers, during an official event held at the Palestinian Financial Institute in Al-Bireh with the participation of partner entities.
Dr. Salameh indicated that the trial phase of the application includes employees of the Palestinian Civil Defense, the Customs Police, in addition to the Ministry of Jerusalem Affairs and the Jerusalem Governorate, to ensure the effectiveness of the system and the reconciliation processes, paving the way for its official availability to all employees in the coming period. He urged employees in the mentioned institutions to install the application on their smartphones after verifying their identities through the "iDplus" app starting this Sunday, with the possibility of starting to pay bills during the following week.
The event witnessed the signing of agreements to organize technical matters with the list of service providers covered by the application, which includes: Jerusalem District Electricity Company, Hebron Electricity Company, Northern Electricity Company, Southern Electricity Company, Tubas Area Electricity Distribution Company, and the Jerusalem District Water Authority. It also included the telecommunications and internet sector through: Palestine Telecommunications Group (Telecom, Jawwal, and Hadara), the mobile network company (Ooredoo), and companies: Mada, Zaytouna, Gamzo, B.Net, Cool Net, and Together.
The Finance and Planning Minister emphasized that the second phase of the development of the "Yabus" app will expand to include services for local authorities providing water and electricity, in addition to paying fees for a range of government services.
