Netanyahu: We Still Have Work in Gaza, Lebanon, and Iran
Translation by SadaNews - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Wednesday evening that his government has more tasks and work to do in Gaza, Lebanon, and Iran.
This came during a speech he delivered to Israeli local officials.
Netanyahu stated, according to SadaNews's translation, "We are changing the face of the Middle East and we have indeed changed it and we will change it," pointing out that Israel has not collapsed after the October 7 attack and has reversed the situation in its favor.
He added, "We have fought Iran and its proxies in the region, starting from Hamas to Hezbollah and the Iranian regime," noting that there were attempts from several parties inside and outside Israel that wanted to stop him from continuing operations in Gaza, reaching a deal, and bringing back the captives while marketing that as a victory. However, he rejected this and told them, "If we do not enter Rafah, we will not be able to prevent Hamas from being armed."
He continued, "We have entered everywhere in Gaza and freed all the captives, which is an achievement that no one believed in... We control 70% of Gaza today and are suffocating Hamas and eliminated the last planner of the October 7 attack, Izz al-Din al-Haddad, and after we killed him, no rockets or shells were fired from Gaza."
He further stated, "If I had accepted the advice from those who urged us to withdraw, we would have remained with Haniyeh, the guest, and Sinwar, and we would not have moved on to Lebanon."
The Israeli Prime Minister added, "There were 150,000 rockets and shells in Lebanon, the largest arsenal of rockets on earth aimed at Israel, and today they have only 8% of them left, and we have a lot of work to do there."
He continued, "I rejected all demands to halt operations, and we succeeded in assassinating Nasrallah and all Hezbollah leadership and eliminating many 'terrorists.'"
He emphasized that the policy of the Israeli government is to continue targeted assassinations and eliminate the structures of 'terrorism' in Lebanon and elsewhere, affirming that they have more work to do and are currently working to completely eliminate the phenomenon of booby-trapped drones soon.
He said, "We continued to Syria despite being told not to enter there, and we entered with full force and rescued our Druze brothers, and we will protect them and continue doing so."
He added, "I have dedicated my life for years to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons, and we have conducted significant operations and removed many threats... We were told not to kill Iranian leaders, and I did not listen to them, and we killed dozens of them."
He continued, "We will not allow Iran to possess nuclear weapons, and I would not allow the tyrants of Iran to destroy us... We have more work to accomplish in Iran and other fronts, and if it weren't for the strong leadership we have, we would not have reached this state now."
He continued: "There is more work in Gaza, Lebanon, and confronting Iran."
He reiterated his recent statements: As long as I remain Prime Minister, Iran will not possess nuclear weapons... As long as I remain Prime Minister, we will maintain the security belt in Lebanon and safeguard the security of the north.
