Abu Rdeina: Bennett's Statements are Condemnable, Rejected, and Contrary to International Legitimacy
SadaNews - The official spokesperson for the Palestinian presidency, Nabil Abu Rdeina, stated that the remarks made by former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, in which he claimed that the area classified as "c" is part of Israel, and that there is no Palestinian state and only autonomy exists in areas A + B, are condemnable, rejected, and contrary to international legitimacy decisions.
He added that the State of Palestine is recognized by the entire world, is a member of more than one hundred international organizations and treaties, and is recognized by 160 countries.
Abu Rdeina continued that these statements do nothing but contribute to the ongoing instability in the entire region, emphasizing that all international legitimacy decisions confirm that the only internationally accepted political solution is the two-state solution based on international law, where the independent and sovereign State of Palestine lives along the 1967 borders with its capital in East Jerusalem alongside the State of Israel in security, peace, and good neighborliness.
He concluded by stating that the key to security, stability, and peace in the region lies in ending the Israeli occupation, allowing the Palestinian people their right to self-determination, and achieving their freedom and independence; without that, the region will remain in turmoil, in a state of endless wars.
