Settlers Assault an Employee of the Jerusalem District Water Authority
SadaNews - The Jerusalem District Water Authority condemned the assault on its employee, Ahmad Omar, by settlers while he was performing his duties near the towns of Turmus'ayya and Singil, north of Ramallah.
The Authority confirmed that this assault constitutes a serious violation targeting its technical crews while they are fulfilling their responsibilities in providing water services to citizens, and it hinders efforts aimed at ensuring the continuity of essential services in the region.
The Authority's management called on local and international bodies and relevant organizations to intervene immediately and exert pressure to stop the repeated assaults faced by the working crews, and to provide the necessary protection to ensure their ability to continue performing their tasks without threat or obstruction.
The Authority emphasized that its crews will continue to fulfill their national and professional duties to serve citizens in various concession areas.
