The Coordinating Committee for the Palestinian Civil Organizations Network Distributes Tasks Among Members and Calls for Addressing Current Challenges through Integrated Efforts to Revitalize Resilience

SadaNews Economy - The Palestinian Civil Organizations Network reiterated the importance of reviving the elements of resilience and survival, to enhance the Palestinian presence in the face of occupation policies and to address internal issues through comprehensive dialogue that includes all constituents, in light of the unprecedented conditions in the occupied Palestinian territories amidst the ongoing genocide and the forced displacement policies that the occupying state seeks to implement, along with unleashing settlers to empty the land from its rightful owners. As the economic and social situations worsen due to these policies, which aim to implement the annexation plan and entrench the status quo.

The elected Coordinating Committee emphasized in its meeting yesterday in Ramallah and Gaza the importance of preserving the unity of the network, which has worked over the past years in a unified manner in the West Bank and Gaza Strip despite the political division, and protecting its path as a collective umbrella for Palestinian civil work. It decided to proceed with implementing its approved strategic plan based on its national role, supporting issues that matter to citizens, preserving the independence of civil work and the right to form associations according to the law, in addition to respecting freedom of opinion and expression, and reviewing government, official policies, and applicable laws. The strategy also includes developing advocacy and lobbying campaigns at the local and international levels, and mobilizing more support for the just cause of the Palestinian people and their legitimate rights.

During the meeting, tasks were distributed among members of the new coordinating committee for the upcoming period, where the Agricultural Relief received the position of the president of the network's board of directors, represented by its Director General, Munjed Abu Jish, while the Health and Community Return Foundation obtained the position of Vice President of the Board, represented by its Director General, Raef Al-Majdlaoui. The Medical Relief Association received the position of Treasurer, represented by Dr. Suhail Aqabna, while the position of Deputy Treasurer went to the Gaza Group for Culture and Community Development, represented by its Director General, Hussain Murtaja. The Waseel Center for Youth Development obtained the position of Secretary, represented by its Director General, Mohammed Salama, and the position of Deputy Secretary went to the Social Relief Association, represented by the Director, Asma Al-Hassanat. Additionally, members positions were secured for the following: Al-Haq Foundation represented by legal advisor Ashraf Abu Haiya, the Working Woman Association for Development represented by Director General Amal Khreisha, the Civil Authority for Judicial Independence "Independence" represented by its Director General, Majed Al-Arauri, the Jerusalem Center for Legal Aid and Human Rights represented by its Board Chairman, Amin Anabi, the Palestinian Hydrologists Association represented by its Director General, Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Tamimi, the Dr. Haid Abdul Shafi Center for Culture and Development represented by Director General Mohsen Abu Ramadan, and the Director General Amal Sayyam from the Women’s Affairs Center.
