Chairman of the American University of the Middle East Discusses Joint Cooperation with Saudi Prince

SadaNews - Dr. Youssef Asfour, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the American University of the Middle East, and Dr. Anan Al-Deek, Advisor to the Board of Directors for International Cooperation, met with Prince Mansour bin Khalid bin Farhan Al Saud, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and non-resident Ambassador to the State of Palestine, to discuss the prospects of joint cooperation between the two sides. During the meeting, ways to enhance cooperation between the American University of the Middle East and universities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia were discussed, in addition to opportunities for collaboration with the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), which would contribute to the development of academic and research partnerships and the exchange of expertise in scientific and technological fields, especially in the areas of artificial intelligence and digital transformation. Both sides emphasized the importance of expanding the fields of cooperation between academic and scientific institutions in the two brotherly countries, in a manner that serves higher education and scientific research and enhances innovation and the development of human competencies. During the meeting, Dr. Youssef Asfour expressed his appreciation for the supportive positions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, praising the role led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect them both, in supporting Arab issues and the Palestinian cause and enhancing the path of development and progress. At the end of the meeting, both parties agreed to continue coordination and consultation, and to explore further opportunities for joint work that achieves mutual interests and enhances academic and scientific cooperation between the two sides.
