SadaNews - Jordan's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ayman Safadi said on Friday that the Israeli government is "pushing the West Bank towards an explosion," warning that its violations of the historical and legal status quo in Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem represent "illegal actions and serious provocations."

Safadi added, in a post on the platform "X," that these violations "are pushing the region towards a new catastrophic conflict that will have repercussions beyond the occupied Palestinian territories."

Safadi called on the international community to "act effectively and swiftly to confront these Israeli actions before it is too late."
