Casualties and Injuries in Extensive American Attacks in Iran as the Country Strikes Gulf Nations and Jordan

SadaNews - The U.S. military announced early Friday morning the completion of the latest round of strikes against Iran, marking the thirteenth consecutive night of American attacks.

The U.S. Central Command, "CENTCOM," reported that the wave of strikes lasted for more than two hours.

The Khuzestan province in southwestern Iran reported 4 fatalities and 5 injuries in the U.S. attack on the outskirts of Ahvaz city.

Earlier, the U.S. military had announced on Thursday night that it had begun launching strikes on Iran for the thirteenth consecutive night.

A statement from the U.S. Central Command on X platform indicated that "U.S. forces began a new night of strikes against Iranian military targets at 6:45 PM Eastern Time today (22:45 GMT)."

It added that these "strikes aim to hold Iran accountable and reduce the threats posed by the Revolutionary Guard to commercial shipping movement."

Furthermore, the U.S. Central Command reiterated that the strikes were designed "to further weaken Iran’s capability to threaten civilian sailors and commercial vessels traversing the territorial waters" as the U.S. pushes to regain control over the Strait of Hormuz and restore international shipping flow.

In turn, Iranian media reported multiple explosions early Friday. Areas near the cities of Ahvaz, Andimeshk, and Omidiyeh in the southwest were among the targeted regions, according to the Iranian news agency Fars, citing authorities. Media reports also indicated explosions near Qeshm Island in the Strait of Hormuz and around the coastal city of Bandar Abbas.

Iranian media also reported hearing explosions west of Bandar Abbas. Meanwhile, the Nournews agency stated that air defenses in Tehran were activated to confront a "hostile" threat.

Additionally, the Iranian military announced targeting fuel tanks and living quarters for U.S. forces at Sheikh Isa base in Bahrain, as well as aircraft hangars and living quarters for U.S. troops at Al Azraq base in Jordan.

Kuwait and Bahrain announced that their forces thwarted missile and drone attacks from Iran, following the sound of sirens in the country.
