3 Martyrs in the West Bank Since Morning

SadaNews - The Ministry of Health announced on Thursday evening the martyrdom of the young man Yazan Sawafteh (25 years old), shot by the occupation near the Haddad Roundabout east of Jenin.

The occupation forces claimed that the young man attempted to carry out a stabbing attack that resulted in injuring an Israeli soldier.

Meanwhile, a young man and a child were martyred Thursday evening by the bullets of the Israeli occupation army in the town of Beit Furik east of Nablus.

The Ministry of Health reported that the General Authority for Civil Affairs informed it of the martyrdom of the young man Mahmoud Hussein Hamdan Abu Samrah (20 years old) and the child Mohammed Samer Mohammed Malitah (16 years old) by the occupation's bullets in Beit Furik.

Local sources reported that the young man and the child were martyred after the occupation army opened fire on them in the town, and their bodies were confiscated, while two others were injured and taken to the hospital.

In this context, the mayor of Beit Furik, Youssef Hanini, reported that the occupation army continues its aggression against the town, having closed all its entrances, amidst a wide spread of soldiers and settlers in the area.

He mentioned that after fires broke out in citizens' fields, residents went out to extinguish them, but the occupation army and settlers attacked them, firing live bullets at them, which resulted in injuries to four people, and later two were reported martyred, with the occupation confiscating their bodies, while others were later injured due to beatings.

Hanini confirmed that the occupation forced one family to evacuate their home after assaulting the homeowner near the incident area, pointing out that the fire affected the power network poles in the town, while the settlers burned two cars belonging to residents of the town.

He noted that dozens of residents are unable to reach their homes after the closure of the Beit Furik military checkpoint at the main entrance of the town, while some employees who work within the town are also unable to leave.
