Organization of Islamic Cooperation Condemns Escalation of Crimes and Terrorism by "Occupation and Settlers" Against Palestinian Civilians and Calls for Accountability

SadaNews - The Organization of Islamic Cooperation condemns the escalation of settler terrorism and the heinous crimes committed against Palestinian civilians under the protection and participation of the Israeli occupation forces and settler gangs in the occupied Palestinian territories. The latest of these heinous crimes occurred in the towns of Tal in Nablus Governorate, and Deir Jreer in Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governorate, along with the ongoing events in the Gaza Strip, which have resulted in the martyrdom and injury of dozens. In addition, the attacks by extremist settlers on unarmed Palestinian civilians continue, as well as the destruction of their property, the burning of agricultural lands and homes, and the theft of sheep and livestock, all amidst the escalating pace of settlement in the occupied Palestinian territories.
 

The General Secretariat warns of the dangers of this serious escalation resulting from the Israeli colonial aggression, organized terrorism, and the ongoing heinous crimes against the Palestinian people, their land, and their resources in a blatant violation of international humanitarian law, international legitimacy decisions, and the ruling issued by the International Court of Justice.

The General Secretariat confirmed that the continuation and escalation of this terrorism practically implements the plans of Israeli colonial occupation for forced displacement, ethnic cleansing, and genocide being committed in all occupied Palestinian territories, including the blessed Al-Quds. The General Secretariat reiterates its call to the international community and international institutions, especially the Security Council and international judicial bodies, to bear their responsibilities and provide international protection to the Palestinian people, and to hold the occupation and settler gangs accountable for their organized crimes against unarmed Palestinian civilians under international criminal law. It also calls on all countries to continue to work against the settlement and colonial occupation system and its illegitimate entities in the occupied Palestinian territories.
