Washington warns its citizens in Israel and the Middle East of possible flight cancellations due to rising tensions

SadaNews - The U.S. Embassy in Israel urged American citizens to "exercise extreme caution, remain vigilant, and prepare for the possibility of flight cancellations and airspace closures, as well as other travel disruptions.” This was attributed to "the rising tensions in the Middle East, where the security environment remains complex, with the potential for unexpected escalation.” A similar and general warning was also issued to Americans present in the Middle East, advising them to reconsider travel to and through the region.

Meanwhile, officials at the Israeli Airports Authority stated, "We are unaware of any intention to cancel flights at this time,” following the warning issued by the U.S. Embassy in Israel, according to Channel 12.

The Iranian Health Ministry announced on Friday that 59 people have been killed and 666 others have been injured due to American attacks on the country since June 27. The Revolutionary Guard announced that it targeted Al-Azraq base in Jordan, while the Kuwaiti Army stated that its air defenses dealt with an Iranian drone attack.

The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced on Friday the completion of its thirteenth wave of airstrikes against Iranian targets, which included command centers, communication networks, coastal observation centers, and a Revolutionary Guard Navy headquarters in Gilan Province, northern Iran.

In a wide-ranging field response, the Iranian army and the Revolutionary Guard announced that they had launched drone attacks targeting military facilities and sites used by the U.S. military in Bahrain at the "Sheikh Isa" base, in Jordan at the "Al-Azraq" base, and in Kuwait at the "Ali Al-Salem" and "Arafjan" military camps; hitting fuel and weapon depots, aircraft hangars, and soldier accommodation facilities.

The intensity of the threats escalated with the announcement by U.S. President Donald Trump that any damage that might occur to vessels or shipments passing through the Strait of Hormuz will be compensated from the Iranian funds frozen in Washington, describing the measure as "necessary and fair,” while Tehran emphasizes the continuation of its military response and warns against harming the economic interests of the countries in the region.
