Fattouh: The Ongoing Massacres by the Occupation Against Civilians Represent a Complete War Crime

SadaNews - The Chairman of the Palestinian National Council, Rouhi Fattouh, stated that the continuous massacres committed by the Israeli occupation forces against civilians in the Gaza Strip, the latest of which are the criminal airstrikes that targeted residential apartments and inhabited homes, resulting in the martyrdom and injury of dozens of citizens, including children and women, some of whom were burned to death by flames, represent a complete war crime and an act of genocide as well as organized terrorism practiced by the occupying state against an unarmed people.

Fattouh added in a statement issued by the National Council this Thursday that targeting families inside their homes reveals the criminal mentality of the occupation army, which boasts about killing women and children and continues to violate international humanitarian law and Geneva Conventions in a blatant challenge to the will of the international community and all existing political and security understandings and commitments, including the Sharm El-Sheikh understandings.

He affirmed that the U.S. administration is required to assume its political, moral, and legal responsibilities to stop this aggression and restrain the occupation government. He also called on the international community and the United Nations to take immediate and binding measures to put an end to the crimes of mass killings and hold those responsible accountable before international justice and to end the policy of impunity that has encouraged the occupation to persist in its crimes against the Palestinian people.
