Invasions and Arrests in the West Bank.. Yamun Under Siege
SadaNews - Israeli occupation forces launched a wide-ranging campaign of incursions at dawn and morning on Thursday, targeting several cities, towns, and camps in the West Bank, accompanied by raids and arrests, as well as assaults carried out by settlers against Palestinians and their properties in various areas.
The occupation forces stormed the Aqabat Jabr camp in Jericho, and the villages of Deir Jarir and Tayba east and northeast of Ramallah, in addition to the Ain Arab area in Hebron and the city of Tubas in northern West Bank.
Raid operations were also carried out in Jenin governorate, including the Kharuba neighborhood and Al-Zuhra neighborhood within the city, along with the incursion into the village of Rummana west of Jenin.
In a notable field development, an Israeli special force infiltrated the town of Yamun west of Jenin, besieging a house before firing heavily towards it, coinciding with the arrival of military reinforcements to the area.
Local sources reported smoke rising from the house following an explosion inside, before occupation forces arrested two Palestinians from the besieged location.
In the Nablus governorate, the occupation forces stormed the eastern area of the city via the Awarta checkpoint, supported by a military bulldozer and large forces to secure the settlers' incursion to Joseph's Tomb.
They also invaded the village of Talfit south of the city, while the nearby village of Awarta and the town of Beita witnessed movements by settlers that included assaults on agricultural properties.
Local sources reported that settlers invaded an agricultural warehouse in the Qamas area surrounding the town of Beita, where Palestinian youths confronted the attack.
Settlers also set fire to agricultural lands on the eastern outskirts of the village of Iraq Burin south of Nablus.
In Bethlehem, five citizens were injured due to an assault carried out by occupation forces, which involved beating family members in the Doha area.
Palestinian Red Crescent teams explained that they provided first aid to the injured before transferring them to the hospital for treatment.
These incursions and assaults come amid increasing field tension in the West Bank, alongside the continuation of Israeli military operations in several cities and towns, in parallel with a rise in settlers' assaults on Palestinians and their lands.
