Attacks by Settlers in Nablus and Jerusalem
SadaNews - Settlers attacked citizens' homes today, Tuesday, in the village of Madama, south of Nablus, and set fire to large areas of agricultural land.
Local sources reported that a group of settlers set fire to dozens of dunams and olive trees in the southern part of the village, amid random gunfire directed at the homes and anyone trying to reach the fires to extinguish them.
Meanwhile, settlers also stole dozens of sheep belonging to citizens from the village of Beit Iksa, northwest of occupied Jerusalem.
Eyewitnesses reported that settlers from the newly established pastoral outpost on the village's land took dozens of sheep belonging to several citizens and transferred them into the outpost.
They added that the residents attempted to access the area and search for the stolen sheep, but the settlers prevented them from approaching the vicinity of the outpost.
It was noted that the outpost was established in recent months on lands belonging to Beit Iksa, and the settlers use it as a launch point to carry out repeated assaults against citizens and shepherds, including chasing them in the pastures and preventing them from accessing their agricultural lands, in an attempt to impose control over large areas of the village's land.
Beit Iksa has seen an escalation in settler attacks, especially after the establishment of the pastoral outpost, with repeated incidents of assaults on citizens and their properties being recorded, alongside attempts to seize land and expand settlement, threatening what remains of the village's lands, isolated due to the wall and settlement activities.
