Occupation Launches Arrest Campaign in the West Bank Targeting Dozens Including 4 University Students
SadaNews - Israeli occupation forces launched a wide-scale arrest and raid campaign in various areas of the West Bank, targeting dozens of Palestinians, including four university students, alongside operations of storming and searching citizens' homes.
According to the Palestinian Prisoners Club, the occupation forces arrested students Nataly Abu Diya, Jolan Abu Awwad, and Sama Safi from the town of Birzeit north of Ramallah after storming their homes and searching them. Student Laila Khalil was also arrested following a raid on her family's house in the town of Beitunia west of the city.
In Ramallah, the forces stormed the village of Al-Mughayir northeast of the city, raiding several homes and tampering with their contents, amidst assaults on the residents.
Local sources reported that citizen Mustafa Abu Rady and several of his family members were beaten during the raid on their home, resulting in bruises.
In Nablus Governorate, occupation forces carried out a campaign that resulted in the arrest of nine citizens, identified as Yamen Khaled Abu Turabi, Zubayd Saud Turabi, Muhammad Nabil Ghanem, Hilmi Ayman Hindi, Karim Muhannad Ghanem, Ayman Wasfi Turabi, Khalil Wasfi Turabi, Muhammad Akram Turabi, and Karim Munther Turabi.
The forces also raided the home of citizen Osama Halawa in the New Nablus area and confiscated his vehicle, in addition to seizing another vehicle during a raid in the Beir Qouza mountain area in the town of Beita south of Nablus.
In Tulkarm Governorate, the forces arrested several young men, including Nihad Salim and Yusuf Shalabi after raiding their homes in the town of Attil north of the city. They also arrested released prisoner Muhammad Said Shalabi from the Jirad area east of Tulkarm, and citizen Asid Aref from Nur Shams camp, in addition to the arrest of released prisoner Abdul Latif Nafe' Hamdan from the Sawana neighborhood in the city by a special force.
In Jenin Governorate, an infantry unit of the occupation army stormed the Abu Zaher mountain area within the city, with no reported arrests.
In Hebron Governorate, occupation forces stormed the Al-Aroub camp north of the city and raided citizens' homes within it, as well as conducting storming and raiding operations in the town of Beit Ummar north of Hebron, amidst military deployment in the area.
