Widespread Arrests and Raids in the West Bank.. Occupation Forces Announce the Arrest of Two Youths in Nablus on Charges of Planning an Operation

SadaNews - Today, Thursday, Israeli occupation forces launched a campaign of arrests and raids in several areas of the West Bank, which included assaults on civilians, home raids, and destruction of property. Meanwhile, the Israeli border guards announced the arrest of two youths in Nablus on charges of planning to carry out an operation.

In Hebron Governorate, the occupation forces arrested six citizens and assaulted women and children during their incursions into the city and towns to the north and south of it. Security sources reported that the occupation forces raided the towns of Yatta and Samu’ south of Hebron, arresting Mahmoud Jebreen Al-Nawaj’a, Jaber Ahmed Al-Nawaj’a, Salem Ahmed Al-Hawamda, and Dhib Ahmed Al-Hawamda.

From the Al-Arroub refugee camp north of Hebron, the occupation forces arrested Thayer Hisham Taffesh and Ahmed Basim Al-Qiq after raiding and searching their homes and tampering with their contents.

The occupation forces also raided several homes in the Al-Salima neighborhood of Hebron late last night, mistreating the residents and violently assaulting women and children before searching the houses and destroying their contents, including the home of citizen Taleb Jaber.

In Nablus Governorate, the Israeli occupation forces arrested five citizens early Thursday morning after raiding several villages and homes within them and tampering with their contents.

Security sources told "Wafa" that the occupation forces raided the villages of Tal southwest of Nablus, Burqa northwest of Nablus, and Amuria to the south during the early morning hours, arresting Omar Asida from Tal, the child Jamal Al-Dasouqi from Burqa, and citizens Anas Ali Hakawati and Mu'tasim Muhammad Hakawati from Amuria.

The occupation forces had arrested citizen Muhammad Hisham Al-Shanti last night during their incursion into Nablus and laying siege to a residential building on Tunisia Street.

In this context, the Israeli border guards announced that elements from the "mustarabeen" unit in the West Bank arrested two youths in Nablus overnight, on charges of planning to carry out an operation "in the immediate timeframe," following intelligence from the Shin Bet.

According to the Israeli statement, the forces besieged the building where the youths were located, negotiated with them before they surrendered, leading to their arrest and transfer for interrogation by the Shin Bet.

In Tubas Governorate, the occupation forces arrested youth Ezzeddin Methqal Bani Ouda from the town of Tamoun south of the governorate today, after raiding his family home, according to Kamel Bani Ouda, the director of the Prisoners Club in Tubas.

In Qalqilya Governorate, the occupation forces arrested six youths from Qalqilya city after raiding their homes in the Al-Naqar neighborhood in the northern part of the city.

Local sources told "Wafa" that the detainees are: Mideen Amawi, Laith Shteiwi, Mohammad Sha’th, Abdullah Abu Adwan, Saeed Salameh, and Ahmad Alyan.
