Attacks by Settlers and Occupation Forces in Hebron and Bethlehem

SadaNews - Settlers attacked citizens and their properties today, Saturday, in various areas of Hebron Governorate, under the protection of the Israeli occupation forces.

Anti-settlement activist Osama Makhamra reported in statements to the Palestinian news agency that settlers chased the family of citizen Ziad Mar while they were working in harvesting their land in Khirbet Manizil in the Masafar Yatta area and stole their agricultural equipment.

He added that settlers assaulted a foreign activist in the Khillat al-Hummus area south of Yatta while she was documenting their attack on the property of the Al-Obeid al-Masri family, and they unleashed their cattle in citizens' lands, causing damage to trees and agricultural crops.

In the same context, occupation forces stormed Khirbet Sada al-Thuqal in Masafar Yatta, searched homes and animal pens, detained citizens, prevented them from moving within the area, and assaulted them.

In the Wadi Sa'ir area, settlers destroyed olive trees belonging to citizen Nizam Taleb Shalaldeh.

In the town of Idna, west of Hebron, occupation forces detained farmers Abdul Rahman Tamiza and Adli al-Sourah and assaulted them, resulting in moderate injuries and bruises, coinciding with the herding of settlers’ sheep in citizens' lands east of the town, preventing the landowners from accessing them.

Medical sources also reported that settlers severely assaulted a woman in the town of Bani Na'im east of Hebron, causing her injuries and bruises, and she was transferred by Red Crescent teams to the hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, settlers attacked citizens' homes in the Khallayil al-Luz area southeast of Bethlehem.

Local sources reported that settlers stormed Khallayil al-Luz and positioned themselves around the university housing, attacking citizens' homes with stones, with no injuries reported.

They added that settlers herded their sheep in citizens' lands in Khallayil al-Luz, amid deliberate provocations and harassment.

The Khallayil al-Luz neighborhood is witnessing ongoing escalation by settlers under the protection of occupation forces, through intimidating local citizens, attacking their homes, stoning them, altering lands, demolishing agricultural rooms, as well as damaging olive trees and citizens’ properties.
