Sheikh Discusses Latest Developments with Official Delegation from the German Foreign Ministry
SadaNews - Today, Wednesday, the Vice President of Palestine, Hussein Sheikh, met with an official delegation from the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs, headed by German State Minister Bernard Kouch, and in the presence of Anke Schlim, representative of the Federal Republic of Germany to the State of Palestine, to discuss the latest developments on both the local and international levels.
During the meeting, they discussed the bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to enhance them. Sheikh expressed his gratitude for the German government’s support for the Palestinian people and its assistance to UNRWA.
The two sides also discussed the latest local, regional, and international updates, including municipal elections, the eighth Fatah Movement conference, and the decision made in the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization to hold general elections. They reviewed the escalating Israeli measures and policies in the Gaza Strip, including preventing the entry of aid to the Palestinian people, the dangers arising from settler violence and incursions in the West Bank, the detention of funds, and other measures that threaten the collapse of the Palestinian Authority.
This took place in the presence of member of the Fatah Central Committee Dr. Leila Ghannam and advisor to the President Dr. Majdi Khalidi.
