French Soldier Killed by Hezbollah Elements in Southern Lebanon
SadaNews - French President Emmanuel Macron announced on Saturday the death of a soldier and the injury of three others from his forces serving in UNIFIL in southern Lebanon.
Macron stated that all indications suggest that Hezbollah is responsible for the incident.
He called on the Lebanese authorities to immediately apprehend the perpetrators and hold them accountable alongside UNIFIL.
Meanwhile, the Lebanese Army indicated that injuries occurred among UNIFIL personnel following an exchange of fire today with armed men in the area of al-Ghandouriya in southern Lebanon.
It added that its forces are conducting the necessary investigation to clarify the circumstances of the incident and apprehend those involved.
