Kuwaiti Army Intercepts Iranian Missile and Drone Attacks
SadaNews - The Kuwaiti army announced today, Sunday, that it intercepted and responded to missile attacks and attacks by Iranian drones, shortly after the sound of alarm sirens in Kuwait.
The Kuwaiti army stated that the Kuwaiti air defenses are "currently intercepting hostile missile and drone attacks, following the heinous Iranian aggression".
The General Staff of the Kuwaiti army noted that if explosion sounds are heard, they are the result of the air defense systems intercepting the hostile attacks.
It called on "everyone to adhere to the security and safety instructions issued by the relevant authorities".
Kuwait condemned on Saturday, in the strongest terms, the Iranian aggression on its territory, which targeted a station for power generation and water desalination.
The Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry confirmed in a statement that "the State of Kuwait condemns and denounces in the strongest terms the heinous Iranian aggression on its territory this morning, which targeted another one of the power generation and water desalination stations".
On Saturday, Kuwait announced that power generation and water desalination stations were exposed to an Iranian attack that caused a fire, while Kuwait Airways announced the rescheduling of most of its flights following the Iranian assaults.
The Kuwait Fire Force also announced on Saturday that injuries were recorded among firefighters and a worker while dealing with one of the fires caused by the Iranian attacks.
