Solidarity Stand in Eskişehir Supporting Palestinian Prisoners and Rejecting Israeli Decisions
SadaNews - A massive solidarity stand took place in the Turkish city of Eskişehir in support of Palestinian prisoners, with wide participation from Arab and Turkish communities, alongside representatives from civil society institutions, reflecting a state of public cohesion rejecting the recent Israeli decisions.

This event came amid a rising public rejection of decisions issued by the Knesset and the Israeli government regarding the file of Palestinian prisoners, in addition to policies of land confiscation, settlement expansion, and gradual annexation in the West Bank and Jerusalem, which participants considered a blatant violation of international law.
The stand was organized as a joint initiative by the Union of Friendly Associations and Communities, in cooperation with the Palestinian Community Association in Turkey and Northern Cyprus, and it witnessed a notable presence of members of the Palestinian community and Turkish citizens, alongside a number of active local bodies and institutions.
In a speech during the event, Mr. Ayhan Arslan, president of the Turkish and Palestinian Friendly Communities and Associations Federation, emphasized the firm rejection of the decisions to impose the death penalty on Palestinian prisoners, considering them a serious escalation that contradicts the principles of international law, particularly the provisions of the Fourth Geneva Convention. He also reiterated his rejection of land confiscation and annexation policies, describing them as "unjust decisions" that undermine the prospects of achieving peace and stability in the region.
Arslan added that the Palestinian people are exercising a legitimate right guaranteed by international laws, which is represented in defending their land and national rights, stressing that their right to establish their independent state with Jerusalem as its capital cannot be erased or circumvented by unilateral decisions.
Participants expressed their full solidarity with Palestinian prisoners, affirming that their cause touches the conscience of global humanity, and that their support goes beyond symbolic solidarity to reflect a continuous moral commitment. They also underscored that the Palestinian people will not be left alone in facing challenges, in a message confirming the continued presence of their cause in the collective consciousness at both local and international levels.
