Over 19,000 Travelers Crossed the Karama Checkpoint Last Week
SadaNews - More than 19,000 citizens and visitors crossed the Karama checkpoint during the past week, while the police arrested 51 individuals wanted by the judiciary.
The number of departures during the week was 9,393 individuals, while the number of incoming travelers was 10,365 individuals, and the movement of passengers was moderate.
The police indicated that during the same period, they arrested 51 individuals wanted by the judiciary and prohibited from traveling, either while attempting to depart through the checkpoint or in anticipation of their arrival upon entering Palestinian territories. These individuals are wanted in cases filed before the courts and the public prosecution.
All security and civil agencies in the General Directorate of Crossings and Borders provided various facilities and services to all citizens, including coordination for 7 medical cases for travel between both sides of the checkpoint in Palestinian ambulances.
