Occupation Forces a Jerusalemite to Demolish His Home by Himself in Silwan
SadaNews - Israeli occupation authorities forced a Jerusalemite citizen, today Thursday, to demolish his home by himself in the town of Silwan, south of occupied Jerusalem.
The Jerusalem Governorate reported that the occupation authorities compelled the Jerusalemite citizen Ahmad Muhammad Shahada Qweider to carry out a self-demolition of his home in the Bustan neighborhood of Silwan after a decision was issued by the occupying municipality for the final demolition, in order to avoid hefty fines that the occupying municipality in Jerusalem might impose on him if it carried out the demolition.
It was added that the house has been standing since 2010 and has an area of about 60 square meters, inhabited by the husband, wife, and their child. The occupying municipality had imposed a fine on the house estimated at about 100,000 shekels.
