Two Killed and Serious Injuries in Crimes in the Occupied Interior

SadaNews - Mustafa Ahmed Shaaban (42 years old) and a boy (15 years old) were killed as a result of two separate shooting incidents in the cities of Lod and Kafr Qara on Tuesday evening, raising the death toll from murder in the Arab community since the beginning of the year to 79. Meanwhile, two young men were seriously injured in a third crime committed in the town of Nahf.

According to "Magen David Adom", their crew declared the victim dead, who suffered from critical injuries that penetrated his body.

The Israeli police announced the arrest of 3 suspects from the city of Ramla in connection with the crime, stating in a press release that "the preliminary investigations indicated that the crime occurred against the backdrop of an ongoing blood feud and revenge between families".

In Kafr Qara in the Wadi Ara region, a boy (16 years old) was killed due to a shooting incident near the Al-Buraq Park in the city.

Medical crews were summoned to the crime scene and began administering first aid to the injured, before he was transferred to "Hillel Yafe" hospital in Hadera for further treatment, where the medical staff declared his death after attempts to save his life failed.

In Nahf in the Shaghour area, a young man (23 years old) was seriously injured due to a shooting incident in the town on Tuesday evening.

A medical crew from "Magen David Adom" provided initial treatments to the injured, with one member stating, "Upon our arrival at the location, we saw a young man suffering from serious injuries due to a violent incident. We provided him with initial treatment, which included bandaging and stopping the bleeding, and then transported him to the hospital."

The Israeli police have not announced the arrest of any suspects in the two separate crimes in Kafr Qara and Nahf.

With the two crimes in Kafr Qara and Lod, the death toll from murder in the Arab community since the beginning of 2026 has risen to 79. This comes amid a rise in violence and crime, claiming more lives and raising concerns in the Arab community, knowing that among the victims was a person from the West Bank who was killed in Nazareth.

Since the beginning of April, 5 people have been killed, including a total of five women, three young men killed by police gunfire, and three boys under the age of 18. This statistic does not include the city of occupied Jerusalem.
