2890 Newborns in the Gaza Strip During Last March

SadaNews - A statistic issued by the General Administration of Civil Affairs at the Ministry of Interior (Civil Sector) in Gaza showed that the strip recorded 2890 newborns during the past month of March, in addition to 190 death cases.

The statistics indicated that the number of male births is estimated at 1474, accounting for 51%, while the percentage of female births stands at 49% with 1416 newborn females.

It noted that the Civil Affairs offices in the Gaza Interior Directorate recorded 1205 new births, while the Khan Younis Interior Office registered 395 births.

Additionally, the North Interior offices recorded 512 births, and the Civil Affairs offices in the Central interior accounted for 438 births, while the Civil Affairs in the Rafah Interior Directorate recorded 340 new births.

Regarding death statistics, Civil Affairs reported that its offices in the Gaza Strip governorates recorded 190 death cases during March, with male deaths accounting for 124 cases at a rate of 65.26%, compared to 66 female deaths at a rate of 34.74%.
