Occupation Forces Begin Demolition of Two Houses in Nahalin and Za'tara in Bethlehem

SadaNews: The occupation forces began today, Wednesday, the demolition of two inhabited houses in the towns of Nahalin and Za'tara, in the Bethlehem governorate.

Local sources informed the official agency that the occupation forces stormed the town of Nahalin and positioned themselves in the "Sabeha" area, initiating the demolition of the house of citizen Adel Hasan Izzazma, which is made up of two floors, with each floor covering an area of 170 square meters.

They pointed out that the occupation court had previously rejected an appeal to stop the demolition of 14 houses in the town.

In the same context, the occupation forces stormed the town of Za'tara east of Bethlehem, beginning the demolition of the house of citizen Raed Hasan Abu Riaa, which consists of a basement and two floors, with each floor covering an area of 110 square meters, and is home to seven people.

Abu Riaa said that the occupation forces notified him yesterday to evacuate his house, and they began demolishing it this morning.

Last night, the occupation forces raided the village of Artas south of Bethlehem, searched the houses of citizens Mousa Zahran and Ahed Eid, without any reports of arrests.

It’s noteworthy that in the first half of 2026, the occupation forces carried out a total of 341 demolition operations, resulting in the demolition of 740 facilities, affecting 923 citizens, including 546 children and 431 women. The occupation authorities also issued demolition notices for 254 facilities during the same period, under the pretext of lack of permits.
