The Smallest Island Nation in the World Prepares to Open Its Embassy in Occupied Jerusalem

This development follows a decision issued by the Cabinet of Nauru approving the move, followed by direct coordination with the Israeli occupation authorities to expedite the opening procedures.

In this context, the Israeli Foreign Minister, Gidon Sa'ar, stated, according to what was reported and translated by "SadaNews", that Nauru's embassy is expected to be the tenth embassy opened in Jerusalem, and the fifth since he took office.

Sa'ar emphasized that Nauru is considered a true friend of Israel, noting that the opening of the embassy will significantly contribute to enhancing bilateral relations between the two sides, and confirmed that the Foreign Ministry under his leadership will provide all necessary support to open the embassy as soon as possible.

Sa'ar also expressed his deep gratitude to David Adeang, President of the Republic of Nauru, and Lionel Aingimea, Vice President and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Trade, and Justice, appreciating the Cabinet's decision regarding the opening of the embassy. Sa'ar clarified that this decision stems from and comes as a direct outcome of the meeting he held with Aingimea last month.
