73 Arab fatalities since the beginning of the year: A young man killed in Baqa al-Gharbiyye

SadaNews - Young man Odai Subhi Ayat (32 years old) was killed due to a shooting crime in the city of Baqa al-Gharbiyye, late Wednesday – Thursday, raising the death toll in the Arab society since the beginning of the year to 73 fatalities.

According to medical teams, they conducted resuscitation operations on the injured, but he was pronounced dead during his transfer by ambulance to the hospital.

The Israeli occupation police stated that they have launched an investigation into the circumstances of the crime, the background of which is still unknown, without announcing the arrest of any suspects, amidst ongoing negligence in providing security and safety for Arab citizens in the face of rampant crime and the absence of deterrence.

73 Arab fatalities since the beginning of the year

With this crime, the toll of victims of crime and violence in the Arab community since the beginning of this year has risen to 73 victims, including 72 victims from 33 cities and villages, and one victim from the West Bank who was killed in Nazareth.

Among the victims are five women, three young men killed by police gunfire, and three boys under the age of 18. This statistic does not include the occupied city of Jerusalem.

This comes amid an unprecedented rise in violence and crime in the Arab community, with increasing calls for Israeli authorities to take serious steps to halt the spread of weapons and combat organized crime that is claiming more lives.

It is noteworthy that the year 2025 recorded an unprecedented toll in murder crimes, reaching 252 Arab fatalities, amidst ongoing accusations against the Israeli police of failing to provide security and safety for Arab citizens.
