Drone Attack Injures Worker at Oman’s Salalah Port
SadaNews - Omani authorities reported on Saturday that a worker was injured in an attack involving two drones at Salalah Port, which caused limited damage to one of the cranes.
The official Oman News Agency quoted a security source as saying that Salalah Port was targeted by two drones, resulting in moderate injuries to one expatriate worker there, and a crane in the facility sustained limited damage.
Oman has condemned these brutal attacks and is taking all necessary measures to maintain the security of the country and the safety of its residents.
Fuel tanks at Salalah Port were previously attacked by drones on March 11 of this month, causing a fire that was contained by civil defense teams, with no human losses reported.
At that time, the Environmental Authority announced that it closely monitored the developments of the fire incident and confirmed that air quality levels in the Salalah region were within safe limits.
Oman has played the role of mediator between the United States and Iran prior to the current war that erupted on February 28.
