Occupation Continues to Close Al-Aqsa Mosque for the 17th Day
SadaNews - The Israeli occupation authorities continue to close the Al-Aqsa Mosque in the occupied city of Jerusalem, preventing worshippers from reaching it, for the seventeenth consecutive day, citing security conditions related to the American-Israeli war on Iran.
For the first time since 1967, the occupation has prevented worshippers from performing prayers and retreating in Al-Aqsa Mosque, as worshippers were absent from the last Friday of Ramadan.
The Jerusalem governorate had warned of the serious escalation in the incitement rhetoric led by so-called "Temple organizations" against Al-Aqsa Mosque, amid ongoing closure measures.
It confirmed that what is happening cannot be considered temporary security measures as claimed by the occupation authorities, but rather falls within a political and ideological track aimed at changing the existing religious, historical, and legal reality in the holy mosque.
