The Election Commission Publishes the Final Voter Register for the Bodies Where Elections Will Be Held

SadaNews - The Central Election Commission announced today, Tuesday, the publication of the final voter register on its official website, in a move aimed at facilitating access for candidates and interested parties to the register, and enhancing transparency in the electoral process.

The Commission clarified that the electronic publication of the register is part of its ongoing efforts to remove obstacles for candidates, whether electoral lists or individual candidates, and to enable them to view the names of voters in local authorities in a final format within the approved voter register.

Regarding the content of the published register, it stated that it is limited to the voter's name and polling center only, in order to maintain the privacy of their information. It noted that the published register is divided according to the local authorities where elections will be held in each electoral district.

The Commission affirmed that making the voter register available on its website falls within its policy aimed at developing electronic services and enhancing the use of technology in managing the electoral process, ensuring that electoral information is available and easily accessible.

It mentioned that the final register has been approved after going through the stages and procedures stipulated by law, which included updating the initial voter register, publishing it as a preliminary register for objections, in addition to allowing the opportunity for unregistered voters to register, leading to the adoption of the final register.

The Commission added that the register will remain published on its website elections.ps throughout the electoral process for the year 2026, allowing candidates and relevant parties to access and benefit from it.
