Child Killed in Hit-and-Run by Relative's Vehicle in Jericho
SadaNews - A four-year-old child from the village of Fasayil in the Jordan Valley, north of Jericho, was killed on Thursday evening following an accidental hit-and-run by a vehicle driven by a relative.
Major Louay Irzeqat, the police spokesperson, stated that the police operations room received a report about the hit-and-run incident, and the child was immediately transported by ambulance to Jericho Government Hospital, where doctors declared him dead due to his severe injuries.
He added that traffic accident experts have started investigating the circumstances of the incident to understand its details, and the public prosecution has been notified, with legal procedures being followed as required by law.
Irzeqat urged everyone to exercise caution while driving, especially in residential areas, to ensure the safety of children and citizens.
