Occupation Forces Force a Jerusalemite to Demolish His Home in Beit Hanina

SadaNews - Today, Saturday, Israeli occupation forces forced a citizen to demolish his home in the town of Beit Hanina, north of the occupied city of Jerusalem.

Local sources reported that the occupation authorities compelled the Jerusalemite citizen, Majid Al-Salaimeh, to demolish his home in the Ashqariya neighborhood of the town, which houses 4 individuals. The house has been standing for 8 years, under the pretext of building without a permit, and they were also forced to pay fines exceeding 100,000 shekels.

It is noteworthy that the occupation authorities force Palestinian citizens, especially in the city of Jerusalem, to demolish their homes themselves under the pretext of lack of permits. Those who refuse this procedure find their homes demolished by occupation bulldozers, with exorbitant costs imposed on the owners.

The municipality of the occupation in Jerusalem refrains from granting Palestinians building permits and demolishes or forces them to demolish their homes, in a move that contradicts international laws and humanitarian charters that guarantee the right to housing.
