A Delegation from Fatah Concludes an Official Visit to China and Affirms the Depth of Historical Relations Between the Two Sides
SadaNews - Commissioned by the Commissioner for Arab Relations and Popular China in Fatah, Abbas Zaki, a delegation from the movement has concluded an official visit to the People's Republic of China that lasted a week, headed by Revolutionary Council member Bassam Zakarnah.
During the visit, the delegation was briefed on the decisions of the Chinese Communist Party issued by the Fourth Plenary Session of the Central Committee, where Chinese leaders reaffirmed their full, comprehensive, and ongoing support for the Palestinian people and their just rights, including their right to freedom, independence, and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.
The delegation also held a series of meetings with Chinese officials, during which the latest decisions issued by the Revolutionary Council of Fatah were discussed within the framework of strengthening bilateral relations and exchanging views on politically significant issues of mutual interest, emphasizing the depth and strength of the historical relations between Fatah and the Chinese Communist Party and the People's Republic of China.
Among the delegation's activities, a joint meeting was held between the newly elected Secretariat of the Fatah Youth and the Chinese Youth League affiliated with the Chinese Communist Party, during which the Chinese side was informed about the proceedings of the recent Fatah Youth Conference and its resolutions, as well as discussing prospects for joint cooperation and exchanging experiences in the areas of youth work and organization.
As part of the program, the delegation visited the Memory Museum in Nanjing, which was established to commemorate the victims of the Nanjing Massacre of 1937 and document the crimes committed by the Japanese army. The delegation was informed of the atrocities and serious violations, reaffirming that the museum aims to preserve historical memory and promote the values of justice and peace, not to take revenge on the Japanese people according to the Chinese vision, which was appreciated by the Palestinians. The delegation noted the significant similarities between what the museum documented in terms of historical violations and what the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip suffer from in terms of crimes, genocide, and ongoing violations against cities, villages, and camps in the West Bank.
The delegation also visited the Embassy of the State of Palestine in Beijing, where its members expressed their deep appreciation to the embassy staff and His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Jawad Awad, who received the delegation upon their arrival at the airport and provided all necessary facilitation, contributing significantly to the success of the visit program.
The visit included field tours to several Chinese villages that successfully transitioned from poverty and deprivation to production and a decent life in just a few years, where the delegation listened to lectures and direct testimonies from leaders of those villages about their pioneering developmental experiences, which provide important practical lessons that can be beneficial in advancing the Palestinian reality.
The delegation praised the pivotal role of the Chinese Communist Party in transforming China in just 75 years from poverty to being among the great countries, which is a developmental achievement regarded as a global model in planning and development.
The delegation also learned about the experiences of several transcontinental Chinese companies that have achieved a first-class global rating, especially in the construction sector, where it became apparent that the achievement of building one floor is completed within just one week according to modern and environmentally friendly specifications (Green Buildings), and that the buildings provide integrated self-services—experiences that the Palestinian people need in reconstructing what the occupation has destroyed in the Gaza Strip, as well as in the camps, villages, and cities in the West Bank.
The delegation called on the People's Republic of China to play a pivotal and main role in achieving a just and comprehensive peace and to support international efforts aimed at ending the occupation and enabling the Palestinian people to establish their independent state by holding an international peace conference based on international legitimacy and United Nations resolutions, which contributes to establishing justice and stability in the region.
This visit comes within the framework of enhancing the political and diplomatic presence of Fatah and expanding cooperation with international forces supporting Palestinian rights, benefiting from the pioneering Chinese experience in the fields of development, construction, and strategic planning.
The delegation included 23 cadres from Fatah, including members of the Revolutionary Council, secretaries of external regions, representatives of organizational and union frameworks, and youth cadres from the Fatah Youth Secretariat.
