6 Dead Since the Start of the Year: A Father and Son Killed in a Shooting Incident in Nazareth
SadaNews - A young father (39 years old) and his son (15 years old) were killed as a result of a shooting crime that took place in the city of Nazareth this evening, Monday. This brings the total number of murder victims in the Arab community since the beginning of the year to six, two of whom died from their injuries.
Local sources reported that the victims of the crime are Adham Nazeem Nassar (39 years) and his son, whose age has not yet reached 16.
Sources mentioned that they were shot while working on installing cameras.
A medical team that arrived at the crime scene stated that they "received a report at 17:26 indicating that two young men were injured in Nazareth" due to a shooting incident, adding that its paramedics "were providing first aid and medical treatment to two young men who were unconscious and suffering from penetrating injuries (that pierced their bodies)," stating that "one of them is in his thirties and in critical condition, and the other is in his thirties and in serious condition."
Shortly after, paramedics from "Magen David Adom" announced "the death of a young man about 30 years old due to injuries from gunfire," and the death of the boy was confirmed shortly after.
They added that the team "provided medical treatment and transferred another young man in critical condition, suffering from gunshot wounds, to the 'Italian' hospital in Nazareth, while attempts to revive him are still ongoing."
One team member said: "We saw two young men in their thirties, unconscious, without pulse or breath, and suffering from serious injuries caused by gunfire in their bodies."
He added: "We conducted medical examinations, but unfortunately, one of their injuries was critical, and we had no choice but to declare his death."
"At the same time, we provided life-saving medical treatment to the other injured man, including prolonged attempts to revive him, and we transferred him to the hospital in critical condition, and we are doing everything we can to save his life," according to the same source.
A Bloody Start to the Year
This occurs as murder crimes and violent events continue to escalate in the Arab community, with four murder cases recorded since the beginning of the current year, resulting in the death of the young man Aidi Saqr Abu Ammar from the Negev, and the young man Bakr Mahmoud Yaseen, who is in his thirties, who was injured in a shooting incident in the city of Araba in the Bika area last Saturday; in addition to the two murder victims killed in Nazareth today, Monday.
The young man Abdul Rahman Imad Al-Ibrah from Ramla also died at the beginning of the year, succumbing to injuries from a stabbing crime two weeks earlier.
On the fourth of this month, doctors at "Rambam" Hospital in Haifa declared the death of the elderly man Muhammad Mousa Khwalid (70 years old) as a result of critical injuries from a shooting incident in the village of Arab Al-Khawalid near Haifa in the Galilee area on the evening of December 31, 2025.
The year 2025 recorded an unprecedented toll in murder crimes, with 252 citizens losing their lives amid police complicity with organized crime and their failure to provide security and safety for Arab citizens.
Data shows that the vast majority of murder crimes are committed in the Arab community, without a genuine response from the Israeli police, which neglects its role and colludes, enabling criminal gangs to penetrate and impose their power over neighborhoods in Arab towns, exploiting the absence of deterrence and institutional solutions.
Last year, the highest rate of murder crimes against women was recorded at 23 murders, the highest number ever, in addition to 12 murder cases involving minors under the age of eighteen, alongside innocent victims who were killed by stray bullets or due to fatal diagnostic errors, not to mention those killed by police gunfire, in a daily scene reflecting chaos with weapons and the widening circle of death.
