Fatah in Germany Commemorates the Departure of Abu Ammar

SadaNews - The Fatah Movement in the Germany region commemorated the 21st anniversary of the departure of the movement's founder and its leader, the martyr Yasser Arafat, through a festival held in the capital, Berlin, the day before yesterday.

The festival began with fragrant verses from the Holy Quran and the Palestinian national anthem, followed by a welcoming speech by the Secretary of the region, Dr. Taysir Bakker, who welcomed the Palestinian attendees and the representatives of the participating Arab and German parties and movements.

A girls' artistic troupe presented a performance of the popular “Dabkeh” dance. Then, the spokesperson for the movement in Europe, Dr. Jamal Nazzal, delivered a speech in German, highlighting the virtues of the martyr Abu Ammar and his pivotal role in elevating the Palestinian cause globally. Meanwhile, a member of Fatah's Revolutionary Council, Mohamed Al-Laham, delivered a message from the movement, affirming the determination to continue along the path and realize Abu Ammar's dream of building the Palestinian state and liberating it from occupation, recalling several stances of the late leader in embodying national unity and mobilizing all Palestinian energies to achieve the national project.

The Ambassador of the State of Palestine in Germany, Dr. Lyth Arafa, delivered a poignant speech, focusing on Abu Ammar's humanitarian aspects and his political acumen in dealing with various regional and international contradictions, aimed at protecting the Palestinian people and enhancing their resilience on their land.

The festival included many segments for the young scouts and flower girls, in addition to songs and folklore chants from Palestine.
