Official Meeting Confirms the Strength of Cooperation Between the Palestinian Public Prosecution and Its Jordanian Counterpart
SadaNews - The Attorney General of the State of Palestine, Counselor Akram Al-Khatib, discussed with the head of the Public Prosecution in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Dr. Counselor Nayef Al-Samarat, ways to develop judicial cooperation between the two parties in the field of combating transnational crime according to the approved legal frameworks.
The meeting addressed mechanisms to increase the speed, efficiency, and effectiveness of investigations and legal prosecutions across borders, the use of joint investigations, and the development of the skills of public prosecution members in using direct communication channels. The two parties agreed to develop a memorandum of understanding and judicial cooperation between the Public Prosecution of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the Public Prosecution of the State of Palestine signed on 27/06/2019.
This meeting comes within the framework of a shared vision to build an integrated Arab justice system based on legal professionalism and mutual trust, relying on a professional partnership that translates into tangible results in service of the rule of law.
