The General Union of the Palestinian Community in Sweden Honors Swedish Supporters and Representatives of Pro-Palestine Parties

SadaNews - In the framework of commemorating the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, the General Union of the Palestinian Community in Sweden organized a special honoring event for Swedish supporters and representatives of Swedish parties and institutions that have expressed consistent and honorable positions in support of the rights of the Palestinian people.

The event took place in the Martyr Yasser Arafat Hall in Helsingborg, with the presence of representatives from the factions of the Palestine Liberation Organization, members of Fatah movement, and a number of members from the Palestinian community.

During the ceremony, Mr. Ahmad Sulaiman, President of the Swedish-Palestinian Center and member of the Administrative Body of the General Union and responsible for foreign relations for the Fatah movement in Sweden, handed out certificates of appreciation to the Swedish supporters, in recognition of their moral and humanitarian commitment to stand by the Palestinian people, and for their ongoing efforts to raise awareness about the Palestinian cause in Swedish society.

Ms. Yasmin Palestine also delivered an official speech on behalf of the General Union of the Palestinian Community, in which she said:

"Those who stand with right in the darkest circumstances illuminate the path to justice. There are people who become like lamps in the darkness; not seeking to appear, but because their consciences refuse to bow when the world remains silent.

This speech is an honor for you – for the Swedes who chose to stand by the Palestinian people in the cold, rain, wind, and darkness. Those who carry their banners with frozen hands but with hearts burning with faith in human justice.

You have proven that standing on the right side of history does not require belonging, but a living conscience. Your continuous presence in protests, week after week, and your renewed moral commitment reflect a genuine human feeling toward a people you have not met, yet have carried their pain in your hearts.

What you are doing transcends the concept of protest; it is a genuine humanitarian act, affirming that solidarity is not just a slogan but a practice and responsibility.
The Palestinian people have witnessed your positions, and we see you and appreciate this commitment that proves humanity is still capable of rising in a world inclined toward indifference.

You are steadfast… and you keep hope alive.
This is an honorable speech we present to you – O protectors of justice in this noble country.
The struggle for freedom continues and gains strength because you stand with us.
