Fatah Movement in Sweden and the General Union of the Palestinian Community Participate in the International Forum to Support Prisoners in Madrid

SadaNews - The Fatah Movement in Sweden and the General Union of the Palestinian Community in Sweden participated in the International Forum to Support Palestinian Prisoners, held in the Spanish capital, Madrid, with the participation of Arab and international delegations supporting the Palestinian cause and the rights of prisoners in the occupation's jails.

The region and the union were represented at this conference by brother Ahmad Suleiman, the head of external relations in the Fatah Movement – Sweden, and a member of the administrative board of the General Union of the Palestinian Community, who delivered a speech expressing the position of the Palestinian community in Europe in support of the prisoners' struggle and their sacrifices for freedom and dignity.

Suleiman said in his speech: "We meet with you today while Palestine bleeds, and our heroic prisoners resist with their patience and steadfastness behind bars. These prisoners are the embodiment of dignity and a symbol of steadfastness in the face of occupation, standing tall in defense of their homeland's freedom and their people's right to live with dignity like the rest of the world's nations."

He added: "We feel ashamed in the face of the sacrifices of the prisoners and martyrs, for they are the ones who gave their lives for our freedom and raised our flag high in the sky of Palestine. It is our religious and human duty to raise their voices high in all international forums and to carry their message to the whole world: freedom is a right, and the occupation will come to an end."

He concluded his speech by greeting our brave prisoners in the occupation's jails and their patient families, emphasizing the continued work to convey their voices to the international community and its institutions that support human rights.
