The National Popular Conference for Jerusalem: National Unity is the Law of Victory.. and there is no legitimate weapon but the weapon of the Authority

SadaNews - The General Secretariat of the National Popular Conference for Jerusalem stated that the current phase of the Palestinian cause needs now, more than ever, to unite ranks and consolidate them in the face of the most dangerous conspiracy being plotted against the Palestinian people, their just cause, and their usurped rights. It rejected any international tutelage over our people under any circumstances and for any justification.

The General Secretariat confirmed in a press statement issued today, Sunday, that after closely monitoring Israeli media and others that aim to widen the rift between the political components of the Palestinian people, these malicious horns have begun to sow the seeds of discord between the two movements, "Fatah" and "Hamas," exploiting the people's suffering from the tragedies of the bloody war that targeted the annihilation of the Palestinian people and their displacement from their homeland. The General Secretariat stated that the national necessity requires being alert to the pounding of such wedges and playing on the strings of preserving Palestinian blood, while simultaneously fueling the debate between the two movements regarding the disarmament of Hamas and ending its rule over the Gaza Strip.

It added that the national consensus confirms that the legitimate weapon is the weapon of the Palestinian National Authority with all its military and security formations; thus, any weapon outside this circle is considered militia weapon, not organized and disciplined weapon.

It continued that because the current phase demands wisdom in national and struggle performance to liberate from occupation, what is required from the brothers in the Hamas movement is to adhere to the national decision and the Arab vision formulated by sister Egypt so that we can lead our people to the shore of safety and spare them the horrors of another confrontation, which will have graver consequences for all Palestinians without exception in light of the onslaught of Western powers supportive of Israel and opposing the Palestinian cause. In this context, it referred to Trump's recent speech in the Knesset, where he described October 7 as another Holocaust that Israel was subjected to, while failing to mention approximately half a million Palestinians in Gaza who are martyrs, injured, missing, and displaced.

The General Secretariat stressed the need to maintain the sympathy of Western peoples with the Palestinian cause, which came as a result of immense sacrifices made by our people from their pure blood, future, and history which the Israeli machine of oppression and killing has attempted to erase from individual and collective memory. It stated that preserving and defending national rights requires, first and foremost, uniting the national ranks, organizing the internal house, and ending the division, which is no longer justified, especially after the war destroyed all reasons for any illegitimate authority to remain on Gaza's land. It confirmed that Palestinian, Arab, and international consensus focuses on the return of the Palestinian National Authority to the Gaza Strip to manage its affairs and contribute alongside global and Arab powers to its reconstruction, instilling reassurance and spreading security among our people in Gaza, who have paid enough in blood and devastation that has set them back for many years.

The General Secretariat emphasized that national responsibility and respect for the blood of martyrs require everyone to fuse into a single crucible to affirm that national unity is the law of victory.

The General Secretariat rejected any accusations of betrayal, conspiracy, or exploiting the current situation for private agendas. It stated that the only agenda acceptable at the national level is the Palestinian agenda that works alongside Egypt, Jordan, Qatar, Turkey, and the Western countries that signed President Donald Trump's document to end the war, despite not addressing the two-state solution or the tragedy of the Palestinian people and their nation, adding: To establish security and peace in Palestine and the entire region, we must stop dragging our people into a new war circle that grinds what remains of our dream of establishing our independent and sovereign state on our national soil, with East Jerusalem as its capital according to international resolutions.

The General Secretariat stated that anyone who considers themselves an alternative leadership for the Palestinian people must understand that the true leader is the one who guides his people to safety, not the one who drowns them in the depths of the sea. It also called for attention to what is happening in Jerusalem in terms of soft displacement of its residents, while simultaneously enhancing colonial settlement, as well as what is happening in the West Bank regarding annexation, Judaization, and daily killings of our people amid the distraction of irresponsible parties in debates and conflicts that only serve the enemies of the cause.

The General Secretariat of the National Popular Conference for Jerusalem concluded its statement by saying: Palestine is the mother of beginnings and the mother of endings. It is the homeland that embraces everyone; it is the sanctuary of martyrs and families...
